Adult Education

The Adult Education Department at Lenox Hill Neighborhood House provides free English language instruction to immigrants, as well as technology education and assistance for older adults. We offer practical and enjoyable learning experiences to help students to gain skills to enrich their lives and careers and succeed in the modern world. Please see below for more details on how to participate in our English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and Technology Education programs.

English for speakers of other languages (ESOL)

Our ESOL classes use an integrated-skills curriculum to help English language learners to improve all aspects of their English proficiency, become more engaged in their communities, obtain better jobs and be more involved in their family’s education. Class sessions take place four times per year in the spring, summer, fall and winter. Advance registration required; registration consists of completing an enrollment form and a brief placement test. Our Spring Session begins April 8th and runs for 10 weeks.
