Teresa Stewart

Director of Early Childhood Center

Teresa Stewart joined our Early Childhood Center as Director in 2020. Prior to coming to the Neighborhood House, Terry spent more than 30 years in the field of education, including early childhood education, middle and high school education, direct services and statewide leadership. Previously, Terry was the Supervisor of Early Education and Social Services Programs at the Chester County Intermediate Unit for more than 15 years, leading programs that included Preschool Special Education, a Young Parents’ Program, a Homeless Children’s Initiative and Child Care Centers. The programs that Terry led served thousands of children and families each year in several Pennsylvania counties. Terry started her career as a preschool and kindergarten teacher in a Y for ten years. Terry is a graduate of Temple University with a BS in Elementary Education, holds a Master’s in Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of Scranton and has certifications as a teacher, principal (special education) and trainer.
