Teaching Kitchen Chef
Seema Pai has been a Teaching Kitchen Chef at the Neighborhood house since 2019. Previously, Seema was an Assistant Professor of Marketing at Boston University’s School of Management. Seema then left academia to pursue her passion for food and cooking. She founded, co-owned and operated a Seattle food truck serving made-from-scratch Indian street food. After moving to New York, she worked in restaurants and catering, including a wine bar, an Indian restaurant helmed by a multiple James Beard nominee and, most recently, the newest venture by a two-time Michelin-star-awarded Chef. Seema received her Bachelor of Commerce from R. A. Podar College (Mumbai), her MBA from the Indian Institute of Management in Lucknow and her Ph.D. in Business and Marketing from the University of Southern California.
