Melissa Flanagan

Director of the Women's Mental Health Shelter

Melissa Flanagan is the Director of our Women's Mental Health Shelter at the Park Avenue Armory since 2017, having first joined the Neighborhood House as Director of Social Services at our Women’s Mental Health. Prior to joining the Neighborhood House, Melissa was a behavioral health social worker on Bellevue Hospital’s Consult-Liaison Psychiatry team, and at Kings County Hospital, where she was the Assistant Director for Behavioral Health Social Work and Integrated Care.  Most recently, Melissa was a supervising social worker with the Mental Health Service Corps, a program of Thrive NYC.  Melissa is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, received her MSW from New York University and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
