Our Transportation Program provides frail older adults living on Manhattan's East Side with transportation and trips seven days a week.
Trips range from shopping to visiting our Center @ Lenox Hill Neighborhood House for meals or attending a cultural event. Past trip destinations include: Trader Joe’s, the Brooklyn Flea Market, Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Bronx Zoo, Rubin Museum, Ikea, Target, Union Square Greenmarket and many more. Cultural events have included a dance performance at the Joyce Theater, an exhibit of herbs at the New York Botanical Garden, a tour of Greenwood Cemetery, the Christmas Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall, the New York City Ballet’s Nutcracker, a New York Philharmonic Mussorgsky concert and a David Krakauer klezmer concert at the Gerald W. Lynch Theater.
