Second Sundays

Lenox Hill Neighborhood House’s Second Sundays is a performance series for all ages that offers presentations by professional music, dance and theater groups.



Mark Nimar

Come join us for a Sunday afternoon of German Lieder, French Melodie and selections from the great American Songbook! Rising tenor Mark Nimar will be presenting an exciting vocal recital of music by Beethoven, Debussy, Messiaen and the songs of Kurt Weill, Jerry Herman, and Richard Rodgers from the great Broadway musicals of the past. Taikoza

Experience the thunderous rhythms of the ancestral Japanese Taiko drums and the magical sounds of the bamboo flutes. Hear the 100 pound Taiko drum give thunderous voice to traditional and new compositions. Roughly translated, Taiko means “big drums” and that’s exactly what Taikoza brings - big drums, powerful rhythms and electrifying room-thumping energy. This exciting group draws from Japan’s rich tradition of music and performance to create a highly visual performance. With colorful traditional costumes and dynamic motion, Taikoza’s shows are immensely popular with audiences of all ages.
