Executive Director
Warren Scharf became Executive Director of Lenox Hill Neighborhood House
on January 13, 2003.
Mr. Scharf brings innovative leadership,
distinguished programmatic and legal experience and 20 years of providing
advocacy and essential services to those without a voice in New York.
Prior to joining the Neighborhood House, Mr. Scharf was the Vice President
at The Partnership for the Homeless, the Attorney-in-Charge of The Brooklyn
Neighborhood Office of The Legal Aid Society and the Attorney-in-Charge
of The Brooklyn Office for the Aging of The Legal Aid Society. A strong
advocate for older adults, homeless persons and low-income individuals
and families, Mr. Scharf has been active in community-based organizations
and a frequent speaker, educator and trainer on issues affecting unrepresented
and underserved New Yorkers. He was awarded the 1999 Legal Services Award
from the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. Mr. Scharf received
his undergraduate and law degrees from Columbia University.
