East
Side Homeless Network
The East Side Homeless Network -- working together to provide opportunities
and support for homeless and formerly homeless people in the Upper East
Region of Manhattan to reach their maximum potential for a satisfying
life.
Lenox Hill Neighborhood House, Neighborhood Coalition for Shelter and
Yorkville Common Pantry, the three leading providers of services to single
homeless adults on the Upper East Side and East Harlem, are partners in the East Side Homeless Network. The Network is a collaborative
effort to improve and expand access to services for homeless clients and
other homeless members of the community. The primary goal of the East
Side Homeless Network is to weave services together and break down institutional
barriers so that the agencies are better able to bring help to homeless
people.
As clients of ESHN, homeless men and women are eligible for the wide array
of services all three agencies offer. Through increased communication
about our services, missions, philosophies and goals, we find common ground
from which we can work together more effectively. ESHN eliminates duplicate
services and ensures that clients do not fall through the cracks. Homeless
men and women receive comprehensive assistance to help them move off the
streets and, with supportive services, into transitional housing and eventually
permanent homes.
OUR
PARTNERS

The East Side Homeless Network has created a flyer

referral resources on one-side and advocacy/volunteering/donations opportunities
on the other side. In addition, Neighborhood Coalition for Shelter is
printing a resource guide for homeless and hungry people on the Upper
East Side and distributing this in the community.
