East Side Transportation Program
We pick up frail seniors seven days a week from their homes and take them in our two accessible buses (maximum capacity of 18, or 14 with 4 wheelchairs) to local Senior Centers, social adult day programs, stores and cultural and recreational trips that we plan and support. When possible, we also assist with medical appointments, religious services and visits with friends and family depending on demand for our services so that we can serve as many seniors in need on the East side as possible. |

Weekend Connections
Weekend Connections, operating on Saturdays and Sundays as the special weekend component of our Transportation Program, has been a significant--and growing--component of our overall Transportation Program. Weekend Connections specializes in arranging regular group trips on weekends, several times a month, to theaters, museums, cruises and other recreational or cultural events that keep frail older adults connected to New York City’s vast and vibrant offerings and to one another. |
