Older Adult Services Staff

Dina Zempsky, LCSW, is our Director of Case Management. She leads our efforts in providing effective, focused and quality person-centered services to over 1,000 older adults in Community Districts 6, 8 and 11 (14th Street to 143rd Street on the East Side). Dina is a graduate of Syracuse University (BFA) and Columbia University School of Social Work and has extensive and varied experience in social work and aging. Most recently, Dina served as Director of Caregiver Services at Heights and Hills in Brooklyn.

Christopher Chin, LMSW, is a Clinical Social Work Manager at Lenox Hill Neighborhood House. He has over seven years of experience in facilitating caregiver support groups and providing individual counseling and practical support to caregivers of older adults. Chris graduated from Cornell University (BA in Biology and Society) and from Columbia University School of Social Work (MSW).

Tricia Spoto, LMSW, is the Director of the Senior Center at Saint Peter's Church. Tricia graduated from New York University (BA, Psychology; MSW). Before joining the Neighborhood House, Tricia worked at NYU Medical Center where she was a Research Social Worker at the Aging and Dementia Research Center. She regularly volunteers for the Alzheimer’s Association as a Caregiver Support Group Leader.

Julie Kobi, MSW, is a Clinical Social Work Manager. Julie is a graduate of Lehman College (BA, Social Work; MSW) and first joined the Neighborhood House as a student intern in 2002.

Elizabeth Hartowicz is the Director of the CARE Program. Elizabeth, a native of Poland, graduated from the Marie Curie-Sklodowska University in Poland (Master’s in Education) and has a certificate from the Post Master’s Program in Aging and Mental Health from Brookdale Center on Aging of Hunter College. Prior to joining the Neighborhood House, Elizabeth worked as a Respite Program Coordinator at the Brookdale Center on Aging of Hunter College.

Joan Mintz, LMSW, serves as our Director of Special Projects. She brings to Lenox Hill Neighborhood House a wealth of experience in older adult services. Prior to joining Lenox Hill Neighborhood House, Joan served as the Executive Director of United Neighbors of East Midtown (UNEM), a community-based nonprofit providing case management services to frail, homebound seniors living on the East Side of Manhattan in Community District 6. While at UNEM, Joan worked closely with Lenox Hill Neighborhood House to cofound our Senior Center at St. Peter’s Church and staff from UNEM helped to operate the Center for nearly ten years. Prior to her time at UNEM, Joan provided gerontology services to a number of organizations and government agencies including the New York City Department for the Aging. Joan graduated from Columbia University School of Social Work and the University of Pennsylvania.
