CARE Social Adult Day Program
CARE, Center for Alzheimer's Respite Care for the Elderly, enhances the well-being and emotional health of mentally frail older adults, including persons with Alzheimer's disease or related dementia. CARE provides a safe, caring environment and helps older adults participate in group and individualized activities, while also providing a respite for full-time family caregivers.
To enroll, clients must be 60 years of age or older, unable to function independently because of mental impairment and in need of support throughout the day. A diagnosis of dementia is required for participation in the program. CARE has sliding-scale fees based on the client's ability to pay.
