Children & Family Services Staff
Marian Detelj is our Director of Children & Family Services. She has been a leader at the Neighborhood House for over 25 years. Marian is a graduate of SUNY New Paltz University (BS, Early Childhood Education/Elementary Education) and Hunter College (MS, Early Childhood Education) and has a New York State Teachers License. She serves on a wide array of panels, including The City University of New York’s Advisory Panel to the Early Care and Education Training and Professional Development Institute, and the Teacher Education Advisory Council at Hunter College.

Lynne Mold is the Director of Visual & Performing Arts at Lenox Hill Neighborhood House. A graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and a student of Lee Strasberg, Lynne was a founder and director of AfterSchool Arts Program for Children in New York’s East Village. She has been at the Neighborhood House for 15 years and works tirelessly to coordinate all of the arts education and performances for all appropriate agency programs. With Marian, Lynne oversees the RealArts Education Program and RealArts Summer Camp.

Janette Newman is the Education Director for our Early Childhood Center. Janette is responsible for overseeing our entire teaching staff of 24 in our eight early childhood classrooms. Janette is a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University (BS, Psychology, Minor in Elementary Education and MS, Elementary Education).
